Graphic design

Graphic design has always been a component of website development, and most of my graphic design experience is in the Web arena. Occasionally I have the opportunity to do graphic design for printed materials (brochures, flyers, mailers, etc).

Dental website graphics

You could say, "There's no project too small for Teddi." One client was an affiliate of a dental plan company, and they wanted to customize an existing web page template. This is was a very quick project, completed in about an hour (including consulting time, since they were an established client).

The original graphic embedded in the web page template:

New graphics provided by the client:
Toothbrush Boy
I didn't have the source files for the template graphic, so I recreated the "look" of it from scratch, adding the new elements per the clients description.

Archaeologist Finds Preserved Video Disk

A web design client wanted a humorous take on their plastic laser disc jackets. They liked the concept, but decided to have a photograph taken instead. I prefer the cartoon character, myself.

Family Christmas card design

Taking this project from sketch to completed vector graphic was a delightful experience. The assignment was to create a simple graphic that radiated the friendship, love and joy of the Christmas season.

The original concept sketches:

After some consideration, it was decided that the first sketch was the best match for the message on the interior of the card. Using Adobe/Macromedia Freehand, I created a vector graphic from the sketch.

Completed Christmas vector graphic After the first pass was complete, a background element was added that gave a touch of the gift-giving spirit and Christian heritage of the holiday. With the selection of an appropriate font, and some adjustments for exact compatibility with the printer capabilities, the work was done.

Logos

I do not specialize in creating logos, but over time I have designed a few. Some were for clients, most were for my employer or personal web projects.

My most recent logo design was for ModernIR. Click the logo below to see a bit of the logo creation process.
