Writing experience

ATTN: Anyone visiting here from/for the Mt. Hermon Christian Writing Conference... Greetings! I realize this page doesn't tell you much about my current writing (or even link to my blogs/sites)... but it will. The year 2010 marks the beginning of "moving forward" with the many writing projects that have lain dormant, scattered around the Net or my hard drives in various stages of completion. In the meantime, this summary of my past experience may give you a few pieces of the picture.
. . .

Expressing myself in writing has been a love of my life since childhood. I regaled my teachers with stories. Every employer since age 14 has gained the benefit of my corporate writing skills, in one way or another. I've published Web content since 1995.

Traditional freelance submission to print publications has not been my primary pursuit, but I'm starting to pursue those opportunities as I develop content that belongs in that medium.

See my freelance writing resumé for details (MS Word or PDF) and enjoy the samples below.

Newsletters

I've enjoyed contributing to and/or publishing newsletters of various types. One of my favorites was the CIA (Change In Action) e-newsletter I wrote at SureWest Communications during my time as a business process analyst.

Article writing

Non-fiction how-to articles, informational pieces (generally Internet-related), personal experience articles. I have published articles online, in print trade journals and magazines, and in local newspapers.

Marketing copy

Print and online business marketing materials, scripts for spoken material

Technical writing

Software manuals, online help, procedural documentation, process specifications

Product Reviews

These computer game reviews were published in a computer gaming e-zine.
